Blueberry Blonde

Based on our Summer Seasonal Blonde Ale, we decided that a Blueberry flavored beer would be perfect for the late San Diego warm fall weather and would be perfect for Breast Cancer Awareness month in October, and hence “Blueberry Blonde” was born. 

We re-profiled the hop additions to dial back the IBUs and remove the aroma, then we added an all-natural artisan blueberry flavor infusion  late in the fermentation. 

The result is a distinct, clean berry aroma and a deep purple color under a light pink head. Even at 6% alcohol by volume, Blueberry Blonde is the perfect, refreshing ale after a hot afternoon. There is a tartness from the berry that is complimented by the early hops to produce a balance that is crisp and dry but full of berry flavor.
